Sandustry Copper: From Deep Ore to Power Bricks

Mine Copper from deeper underground veins, sort the solid ore out of Sand, and heat it in a Smelter to produce Liquid Copper. Route the liquid into a Copper Mold to cast Power Bricks.

Find Copper underground

Copper appears in deeper underground veins rather than as a normal surface resource in the collected guide. The veins are described by their brown or two-tone appearance and can be mixed with surrounding Sand. Exact depth and coordinates vary with map generation.

Search after the appropriate deeper mining progression is available. A location shown in a video belongs to that world and should not be treated as a fixed map marker. Use the material scanner or current tooltip to confirm the deposit before designing a permanent route.

Mine and sort the solid ore

The collected progression uses a Drill for deeper Copper extraction. Mining produces solid Copper that can travel through ordinary solid logistics. Filters should separate it from Sand and other material released around the vein.

Create a buffer between the mine and the hot processing area. This makes it possible to stop the Smelter without burying the Drill output. Test a small batch to confirm the filter selection before continuous excavation.

Smelt Copper into liquid

Heat solid Copper in a Smelter to create Liquid Copper. A hot Thermal Buffer near Lava appears in the collected setup, but the Smelter and containment must be arranged so the resulting liquid has a controlled destination. Keep Water, Florinol, and other liquids on separate routes.

Move Liquid Copper with a Pump and Pipes to a Liquid Vent, or use gravity when the Smelter is positioned above the mold. The guide also suggests testing liquid handling with the available Grabber upgrade where appropriate. Do not assume a solid belt can continue carrying Copper after it melts.

Cast Power Bricks with the Copper Mold

Release Liquid Copper into a Copper Mold to cast Power Bricks. The collected guide places the mold in later progression after the Smelter and Florinol Battery work. Research cost and tier observations are version-specific, so the current research screen should decide availability.

Keep the mold’s solid output clear and separated from the incoming liquid line. Power Bricks belong to the later machinery-energy chain, while Florinol Batteries are a separate part of energy production. Do not combine the two flows merely because they support the same broad progression.

Troubleshoot the Copper line

If the mine output is wrong, confirm that the Drill intersects the Copper vein and that the filter is not passing Sand. If solid Copper reaches the Smelter but no liquid leaves, verify the heat source and available output space. If liquid disappears from the route, inspect corners, Vent placement, and mixed pipe connections.

When the mold does not cast, confirm that it receives Liquid Copper rather than the solid material. Clear existing Power Bricks from the output area. Run one small batch from vein to finished brick before copying or enlarging the module.
