Sandustry Guides
Practical answers consolidated from the collected official and community sources.
Sandustry guide
Start by turning Sand and Water into Wet Sand, process it in a Shaker for Gold, and route the Residue away so production cannot clog. Spend Gold on research, use Fluxite for player upgrades, and add energy systems only when later structures require them.

Build near both Sand or Dirt and a large Water source, keep Shaker output clear, and watch the first production line before expanding it. Early Fluxite is most useful when it improves scanning, carrying capacity, and digging speed.

The sources confirm that factory sections can be selected, copied, and pasted, while community builders share blueprint strings through Sandustry Vault and Discord. They do not document every import-screen step, so this page avoids inventing one.

Reliable builds separate input, processing, and output lanes, then expand only after each module runs without clogging. The collected factory footage progresses from Wet Sand and Gold to recycling, Planter Boxes, Amethelis, Voidbloom, and Fluxite.

Wet each Seed with Water, guide the Wet Seed onto a Planter Box, let the Flower mature, and burn the mature head to harvest its output. Enclose both working areas, then clear the output lane before continuous automation.
Read guide →LavaSandustry lava
Raw Lava cannot be carried by a Grabber or sent through ordinary pipes. Convert it to Scoria with Snow, break the Scoria into Cinder, move the solid material, and ignite it with the Flamethrower when Lava is needed again.
Read guide →LavaSandustry how to move lava
Apply Snow to create Scoria, destroy that Scoria to obtain Cinder, transport the Cinder as a solid, then use the Flamethrower to turn it back into Lava. Direct pipes, belts, and the Grabber do not move raw Lava.
Read guide →WaterSandustry water
Use Water to make Wet Sand and Wet Seeds, and move it with a Pump, Pipes, and a Liquid Vent. Keep liquid networks separated, seal corners carefully, and remember that loose droplets can evaporate into the rain buffer if they do not settle.
Read guide →WaterSandustry infinite water
The collected source verifies that Water contacting Lava becomes Steam while that reaction does not reduce the Lava amount. It does not provide a measured, loss-proof infinite-water blueprint, so claims beyond that reaction would be speculation.
Read guide →Map & PuzzlesSandustry map
The collected material documents a demo-era custom-map workflow using a mod loader, a map-loader mod, and extracted files placed in a Maps folder. Treat those steps as version-specific and do not apply a custom map’s rules to normal worlds.
Read guide →ModsSandustry mods
The collected sources document a manual demo-era Mod Loader workflow: place the loader with the demo, let it create its folders, then add mods or custom maps. Current Early Access compatibility is not confirmed by those sources.

Look for deliberate room shapes, arrows, symmetry, unusual materials, or an Artifact beyond an obstacle. Test the relevant interaction first; if current equipment does nothing, mark the room and return after more research.

For a Frostbed crossing, break the Frostbed so Snow falls into Water and freezes a path; for a dark maze, use the Flashlight and backtrack at dead ends. Burnable barriers require the Flamethrower.
Read guide →MachinesSandustry kinetic press
Feed only Burnt Slag onto the green top of the Kinetic Press and keep its Gold and Spore outputs clear. Throttle large clumps, filter the incoming stream, and recycle material that misses.
Read guide →MachinesSandustry flux emanator
Deliver Voidbloom to the top of the Flux Emanator and leave open space below for Fluxite to appear and spread outward. Harvest the growing mass before it fills the chamber or causes performance problems.
Read guide →Materials & ItemsSandustry copper
Mine Copper from deeper underground veins, sort the solid ore out of Sand, and heat it in a Smelter to produce Liquid Copper. Route the liquid into a Copper Mold to cast Power Bricks.
Read guide →Materials & ItemsSandustry artifacts
Artifacts are usually rewards inside deliberate puzzle rooms, not items located by memorizing fixed coordinates. Follow room clues, use the interaction your tools support, and return later when a puzzle requires another unlock.
Read guide →Materials & ItemsSandustry seeds
Combine a dry Seed with Water to create a Wet Seed, then place that Wet Seed on a Planter Box to grow a Flower. Wet Seeds have the same listed density as Water and remain suspended, which affects routing.
Read guide →Materials & ItemsSandustry florin
Dry Amethelis with Steam, burn the dry material to produce rising Florin gas, then cool that gas in a Condenser to make Liquid Florinol. Pump Florinol into a Florinol Battery for usable energy.
Read guide →ReleaseSandustry release date
The official Steam listing gives the Sandustry Early Access release date as August 13, 2026. It identifies Lantto as developer, Hooded Horse as publisher, and lists Windows, macOS, and Linux support.
