Create a Wet Seed

Combine one dry Seed with one Water to create one Wet Seed according to the official material page. The resulting material is described as slushy and can be launched. Wetting is required before the Seed can begin the Planter Box chain.

Make sure the dry Seed physically contacts settled Water. Passing beside a leak or a moving droplet may not produce the intended state. Test the wetting chamber with one Seed before connecting a continuous supply.

Understand Wet Seed behavior in Water

Wet Seeds have a listed density of 100, the same as Water. They remain suspended instead of reliably sinking to the bottom. They are also less dense than dry Seeds, which can help create a natural separation when the chamber is designed around that behavior.

Do not build the only exit at the bottom and expect every Wet Seed to fall into it. Use a controlled outlet, Launcher, or filter arrangement that reaches the suspended material. Enclose the chamber because Water movement can carry Seeds into surrounding factory space.

Separate dry and Wet Seeds

Add a recovery route for dry Seeds that miss Water. Keep that route distinct from the Wet Seed output so the same material does not circulate without contacting the pool. A visible inspection area makes failed conversions easy to spot.

Wet Seeds can be moved toward Planter Boxes with normal compatible logistics described by the source. Keep unrelated plant material and factory solids out of the lane. A mixed feed can occupy the planter surface and prevent the intended Seed from arriving.

Feed the Planter Box

Place a Wet Seed on the active surface of a Planter Box to grow a Flower. The official Wet Seed entry identifies the Flower as its processed result. Allow the plant to mature before the later heat-based harvest step.

The full farm needs separate wetting, growth, heating, and collection zones. Begin with manual Seed delivery and Flamethrower testing before automating heat. This prevents an early timing error from burning incoming Seeds or immature Flowers.

Fix common Seed problems

If dry Seeds accumulate, check Water contact and the recovery filter. If Wet Seeds float indefinitely, move the outlet to match their suspended behavior. If the Planter Box stays empty, trace the final route and confirm the material is Wet Seed rather than the dry version.

If a Flower appears but the farm does not continue, inspect maturity, heat, and the output space below the planter. The Seed recipe alone does not automate the complete harvest. Every later stage needs clearance and a controlled material path.

The collected sources do not support invented Seed drop rates, farm ratios, or fixed machine counts. Size the farm from observed throughput in the current version. One stable wetting and planter module is a better template than a large untested pool.
