Sandustry Tips That Prevent Early Factory Problems

Build near both Sand or Dirt and a large Water source, keep Shaker output clear, and watch the first production line before expanding it. Early Fluxite is most useful when it improves scanning, carrying capacity, and digging speed.

Choose a starter location

Look for a large Water source beside accessible Sand or Dirt before committing to the first factory. The collected walkthroughs place a Launcher in Water, feed nearby Shakers, and collect their outputs below. A broad Water supply matters because wetting Sand consumes Water as production continues.

Leave open vertical space for Launchers and open horizontal space for output belts. A cramped shoreline may work for a demonstration but becomes difficult to filter and expand. The ideal site lets Residue leave in one direction while Gold collection and later processing remain accessible.

Stabilize Gold before adding machines

The early recipe is straightforward: Water wets Sand, a Shaker processes Wet Sand, and Gold plus Residue emerge. The line fails when either output accumulates around the machine. Put Collectors under the Shaker and carry Residue away on a dedicated route from the first build.

Later, Residue can be burned and processed in a Kinetic Press for additional useful output. That does not make an unstable Shaker line safe; it adds another machine that can jam. Confirm that the burner and Press clear material at the rate the Shakers deliver it.

Prioritize practical Fluxite upgrades

The collected early-game guide highlights the material scanner, expanded carrying capacity, and faster digging as useful initial Fluxite purchases. These upgrades reduce time spent identifying deposits, making repeated trips, and clearing underground space. They improve the player’s ability to build without changing the recipe itself.

Research Gold should unlock the structure or tool that solves the current production limit. Hover movement, the Flamethrower, and the Kinetic Press each open a distinct capability. Buying an unlock before the supporting input and output space exists can leave an expensive structure idle.

Watch for clogs in real time

Stay near a new line for several production cycles. Launchers can feed too quickly, filters can be pointed at the wrong route, and a growing output pile can make incoming material land beside a machine. A visible stream is not proof that every item reaches the intended processing surface.

Use filters to keep unwanted material out of a machine and to split mixed outputs afterward. If a Press receives large clumps, throttle the feed instead of adding more Presses immediately. If a material misses, return it through a small recycling route rather than allowing it to accumulate.

Scale deliberately

Copying a proven module is safer than enlarging every belt and chamber at once. A reusable section should have a clear input, an internal processing area, and an output that never depends on empty ground. Test the copied version because nearby terrain, liquid, and falling-material paths can change its behavior.

Plan space for the next chain without building it prematurely. Early footage moves from Gold to Residue recycling, then Planter Boxes and the Amethelis chain, and later to Voidbloom and Fluxite. Each stage introduces a new state of matter or output that needs its own containment.

When a setup behaves unexpectedly, trace one material from source to destination. Check whether it was wetted, burned, cooled, filtered, or dropped onto the correct face of the building. This is faster and more reliable than rebuilding the entire factory around an unidentified blockage.
